Are the C-suite a bigger problem to sustainability than we realised?

Research from EY shows that sustainability leaders are losing faith in their C-suite’s ability to execute.

EY found that 33% of sustainability leaders think their board haven’t got the expertise or competence to achieve their own net zero targets.

This is obviously an issue that we need to sort! How can you solve a problem you don’t understand?? 🤦‍♂️

The research highlighted that demand for sustainability skills is going to sky rocket and businesses that invest in these skills sooner rather than later are more likely to flourish in the green economy that’s coming fast.

The investment in new skills and internal training is needed at all levels, not just the front line. Execs need to understand the problem they are trying to solve. This is not a luxury, but a necessity in the climate-conscious era.

Basically, invest in your people now, and stop ignoring the problem, it’s not going away on its own.
