Digital sustainability policy

At Posetiv we believe in embedding sustainability into our digital operations. We understand the crucial role we play in mitigating the environmental impacts of our digital footprint and are committed to embracing a comprehensive, effective, and conscious strategy that prioritises the environment in all our IT decisions.

Our principles

  1. Efficient Energy Usage: We're committed to minimising our energy consumption through the optimisation of our digital operations, including the use of power-efficient servers and infrastructure and energy-smart software and hardware practices.

  2. Use of Renewable Energy: Whenever feasible, we choose to power our digital operations with renewable energy sources. By making this choice, we are investing in a future that is not only technologically advanced, but also environmentally conscious.

  3. Efficient IT Operations: We actively seek to reduce the environmental impact of our IT operations. Prioritising placement of workloads on the most appropriate platforms – be it cloud, colocation, or as-a-service – in locations that minimise our emissions and environmental footprint.

  4. Waste Management and Circular IT: We adopt a responsible and circular approach to electronic waste management. By promoting reuse, refurbishment, and responsible recycling of electronic devices, we contribute to a circular economy in the IT sector.

  5. Embracing Hybrid Working: We're passionate about evolving ways of working and are eliminating the use of offices where they are not required. Our flexible working model not only enhances our employees' work-life balance but also significantly reduces our carbon footprint.

  6. Sustainable IT Practices: We encourage our staff to employ sustainable IT practices, fostering a corporate culture where every interaction with technology is done with environmental consciousness in mind.

  7. Eco-friendly Suppliers: We choose to work with suppliers who share our commitment to sustainability, preferring those who provide environmentally friendly solutions and operate with minimal environmental impact.

  8. Employee Education: Regular training is provided to our team members about our sustainability efforts, emphasising their critical role in these initiatives.

  9. Open Dialogue: We maintain transparent communication with customers, investors, and local communities, keeping them informed about our sustainability goals and progress.

  10. Regulatory Compliance: We ensure our operations meet and exceed any regulations related to digital sustainability, striving for continual improvement.

  11. Carbon Offset Approach: Our priority is always to eliminate carbon emissions first. As of today, we have not used carbon offsets. We would only utilise such schemes for the emissions we cannot yet remove, supporting credible projects such as renewable energy or reforestation.

  12. Transparency and Continuous Improvement: We're committed to measuring, tracking, and sharing our digital carbon footprint to maintain transparency with our stakeholders. This data-driven approach guides our future sustainability strategies and underlines our commitment to continual improvement.

This policy signifies our determination to make positive strides towards a sustainable future. To us, digital sustainability is more than just reducing environmental impact; it signifies operational efficiency, cost reduction, and an enhanced corporate reputation. We're excited to continue our journey toward digital sustainability, and we look forward to collaborating with all our stakeholders on this path.
